The Personal Injury Client Checklist

If you have been injured in an accident, the idea of even having to call an injury attorney might seem overwhelming. Some might want to call immediately. Some might prefer to get some things together first. If you want to get some things together, we’ve put together a short checklist to help you out. Of course, we always recommend calling a personal injury attorney immediately to put you in the best position possible to get the compensation you deserve.

If you have been injured in an accident, you’re probably already overwhelmed. On top of your injuries, there is a lot to think about and deal with following an accident to make sure that you get the compensation you deserve so you can heal and get back to your life.

For many, even the idea of calling, or meeting with, an attorney might seem overwhelming.

Some will want to call right away for guidance in handling their case. Others will want to get organized first. Everyone is different.

We want to make this process is as simple as possible for you. So, we have created this personal injury client checklist to help you stay organized.

We will go over all of this in your free consultation and our first meeting together. However, it’s never too early for you to start organizing information and documents to make sure your case starts off on strong footing.

Here are some things you’ll want to keep track of following your accident. Don’t worry if you don’t have all of this or any of this. We will help you collect anything you don’t have once we get started.

Personal Injury Client Checklist

  • A police report if one was filed
  • Photographs of the accident scene and visible injuries
  • Medical Bills
  • Insurance information for all parties
  • Wage statements and documentation of missed work due to your accident
  • All correspondence with insurance companies, businesses, responsible parties, etc.
  • Any notes you’ve taken pertaining to your accident

Again, don’t stress if you don’t have all or any of these items. We will help you collect everything needed for your case. In some instances, weeks or months go by before a person might decide they need an injury attorney. If that is your case, having a checklist will be incredibly helpful as you keep track of documents and information for your case.

As always, we recommend calling a personal injury attorney immediately following an accident that results in injury. That is the most effective way to position yourself for the best possible outcome.
