According to an investigation by the Indianapolis Star, there were 21 reported daycare deaths in Indiana between 2009 and June 2013. As of March 9, 2014, 10 more deaths had been reported.
Shockingly, 21 of those 31 deaths occurred at unlicensed or illegal day cares.
It may be very upsetting for you to learn this, but not all daycares in Indiana are required to be licensed. For many, this simply defies logic. But it is legal.
